When it comes to treatment for excessive sweating there are countless options out there. Finding the right solution for your particular needs is where the difficulty arises. There is no shortage of products and remedies that claim to help with this area, but so many of them seldom work. So, here are 10 tips that you can try in controlling excessive sweating before trying other solutions.

1. Avoid wearing clothes that fit too tight. Wearing tight fitting clothes can make you sweat much faster and easier than wearing lose fitting clothes. Cotton is the best choice of clothing material as well.

2. Don't eat hot, spicy foods. This may not be what you want to do, but spicy foods such as Mexican dishes can create excessive sweating in a short amount of time.

3. Drink more water during the day. Water is not only good for your body, but it can help with a sweating problem.

4. Turn up the air conditioning and keep yourself cooler during the day. A fan can also be a big help at times.

5. Try a different brand of deodorant. This worked particularly well for me. I always would sweat easily and it seemed like no deodorant would help. I kept trying different brands until I finally found one that now does a great job.

6. Frequent showers. I list a cold shower as an option, but it can certainly be inconvenient for most people. But, a cold shower does help in controlling excessive sweating.

7. Drink iced drinks such as lemonade, fruit juice, etc. Avoid hot coffee or other hot drinks which can easily make you begin sweating.

8. Be sure to bathe daily and change clothing during the day if necessary.

9. Be mindful of stress and anxiety. These two areas are so hard on your body and can immediately bring on excessive sweating.

10. Talk with your doctor about your situation. Ask questions and get their advice on various remedies and over the counter products. They will certainly help you out and they may have just the solution you are looking for.

Try these tips in treating excessive sweating and see if they don't help cure the problem. You may be surprised to find that they do.
