What Is Acne And How Do I Get Rid Of It? - Health - Skin Care

In order for you to get rid of your acne you will first have to understand what causes acne and why you suffer from it.

I'm going to teach you two different things that can cause acne...

First there's the bacteria called P.acne. This bacteria is the one which causes the inflammation in your pores and that's what you see on the outside as a pimple. But the thing with this bacteria is that it gets attracted to pores that are clogged. So what cloggs a pore?

Well... A pore can get clogged by many different things. Among these are the three biggest factors in clogging your pores. They are:

1. An oil called sebum which is produced by your sebaceous glands inside your pores. Many different things can cause overproduction of this oil and cause the clogging of pores in your skin.

2. Dirt. If you have a lot of dirt on your skin it will get down to your pores and clogg them and then attract the bacteria to those clogged pores.

3. And last there's dead skin cells. These most often show as blackheads on the outside but can also cause the clogging of a pore and in turn then attract the bacteria P.acne to the pore.

Another thing which can cause acne is friction. Let me give you an example...

If you are going biking and you're wearing a helmet and you've pulled the straps very tight into your head... then you will most likely find some acne around the areas of the straps. This is of course if the helmet is on for a longer time and the straps grind against your skin but is still a common factor in people's acne which most people are not even aware of.

So there you have two major reasons why you get acne.

The next thing you want to know is how to get rid of that acne. Here you have 4 things which you should implement to your life immediately and soon you'll see a significant change in your skin's condition.

1. Wash your face twice/day (and hands). This is very important that you follow because it helps clean your face from both dirt, dead skin cells and bacteria. Remember to use a warm wash cloth and be gentle when you wash your face and you'll see results in no time. But beware... Don't wash your face too often or it'll dry and your skin will start producing more oil and boom! you have even more acne.

2. Drink a lot of water. This is both easy and great because anyone can drink water and what it does is that it clears the toxins from your body and helps get rid of the bacteria from your skin too.

3. Get some work out done. If you start working out regularly you will soon see many changes in your life. You'll be happier, stress less, accomplish more, have more energy... all kinds of things. But one thing you might not have known is that working out is great for getting rid of your acne. Both because you relieve stress when you work out (the hormones your body cranks up when you stress increase the oil production in your skin)... and because when you sweat, the sweat will clear your pores and bring with it to the surface both dirt and dead skin cells.

4. Take a shower immediately after sweating. The reason why this last thing is so important is simple. If you don't do this the sweat will quickly evaporate and as a result you'll get your newly cleared up pores clogged by the dirt, dead skin cells and also salt. So make sure you shower before the sweat evaporates off your skin.

Well there you have it. With that information you are already on the road to becoming acne free. Now all you have to do is take action and soon you'll see great results in your appearance.
